By downloading, installing or using Wattly, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Please read them carefully.

27 September 2026: this update explains web and MCP access, assistant permissions, remote commands and the restricted beta for plans and routines.
This End-User License Agreement (“EULA”) is a legal agreement between you (“End-User”) and Wattly Technologies S.L. (“Developer”, “we”, “us”), and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). The Developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Wattly application (“Licensed Application”) and its content.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Wattly, you confirm that:
- You are at least 16 years old.
- You have the legal authority to accept these terms.
- You are the owner or authorized user of the Tesla vehicle(s) you connect.
- You have the right to connect your Tesla account to third-party applications.
- You are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country.
- You are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
License Grant and Scope
Subject to your compliance with these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Licensed Application on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. The Licensed Application may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
These terms also govern Wattly’s web services and optional connections to AI assistants through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Provisions specific to Apple, its purchase rules or the Licensed Application apply to the Apple application and relevant purchases, not to an independent assistant provider. The Privacy Policy explains how data is processed.
Description of Service
Wattly is a companion app for Tesla vehicle owners that provides:
- Vehicle monitoring — real-time battery status, climate and location.
- Trip tracking — automatic trip logging with energy-consumption data.
- Charging management — charging session history and cost tracking.
- Battery health — estimated battery degradation over time.
- Vehicle commands — remote control of lock, climate and other functions.
- Optional web and MCP access — access to supported data and controls through compatible assistants, within the vehicles and permissions you authorize.
Tesla Account Connection
4.1 Authorization
To use Wattly, you must authorize the app to access your Tesla account through Tesla's official OAuth authentication system. By doing so, you grant Wattly permission to:
- Read vehicle data (status, location, charging, etc.).
- Execute vehicle commands (if you enable this feature).
- Receive real-time telemetry data (if you enable Fleet Telemetry).
4.2 Virtual Key
Some features require you to add Wattly as a virtual key in your Tesla app. This is a Tesla security requirement for sending commands to your vehicle. You can revoke this access at any time through the Tesla app.
4.3 Third-party terms
When using Wattly, you must comply with all applicable third-party terms of agreement, including but not limited to Tesla's Terms of Service, your mobile carrier's data agreement, and any other relevant service agreements.
User Responsibilities
As a Wattly user, you agree to:
- Keep your Tesla account credentials secure.
- Not share Wattly access with unauthorized individuals.
- Revoke access immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
- Use the app in accordance with Tesla's terms of service.
- Use the app in accordance with all applicable laws.
- Not use the app to track vehicles without owner consent.
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or exploit the app.
Vehicle Commands
6.1 Safe and authorized use
Before requesting a remote action, check the selected vehicle and ensure the action is authorized and safe for people, property and the surroundings. Assistant suggestions can be mistaken. You remain responsible for your instructions and approvals; Wattly remains responsible for its obligations under applicable law. Nothing here excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6.2 Connecting an assistant
You choose the vehicles and permissions granted to each MCP connection. Location sharing is optional and off by default; vehicle control and waking require separate permissions. A granted permission enables supported requests within that scope; sensitive actions also require the specific confirmation shown by Wattly. Review the assistant provider’s own terms. You can revoke a connection in Wattly. Signing out of the website or closing a chat does not revoke it.
6.3 Saved data and command outcomes
MCP consults stored data rather than requesting a new reading from Tesla. Check timestamps and freshness indicators; battery, range, energy and cost figures may be estimates or unavailable. Acceptance of a request does not guarantee the physical result. A timeout or “unknown” outcome does not prove that nothing happened: check the saved request status and current vehicle state, and do not automatically retry an unknown result.
6.4 Waking the vehicle
Reading stored data does not wake the vehicle. With wake permission, you may explicitly request a wake. Automatic waking for supported actions is a separate option, off by default for each connection, and also requires wake permission. Waking can consume energy and remains subject to connectivity and limits.
6.5 Access, availability and limits
MCP requires eligible Wattly Access or eligible trial access, subject to any stated exceptions. Supported tools and connection options depend on your account, vehicle and assistant client. Per account and UTC calendar month, remote commands share a limit of 250 across Wattly, and MCP separately allows up to 250 dispatched non-wake attempts and 10 dispatched wake attempts. Failed MCP attempts may count; successful or unknown commands consume the shared allowance, while definite failures release that shared slot. Waiting for readiness before dispatch does not consume a command attempt.
6.6 Action plans and routines — restricted beta
Plans and routines are available only to accounts admitted to the restricted beta. Where available, a routine requires confirmation of its exact version and remains tied to its specified vehicle (VIN). An approved routine may run after the chat is closed; material changes require renewed confirmation. Pausing or cancelling a routine, or revoking its connection, prevents further execution, but an action already committed for dispatch or sent cannot be recalled or assumed to have stopped. Beta availability does not promise general release.
Maintenance and Support
The Developer is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services with respect to the Licensed Application, as specified in this EULA or as required under applicable law. You acknowledge that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the Licensed Application.
For support, please contact us at support@wattly.tech.
Service Availability
Wattly depends on Tesla's Fleet API and telemetry services. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted service due to:
- Changes or limitations to Tesla's API.
- Vehicle connectivity issues.
- Server maintenance or outages.
- Network connectivity problems.
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee any specific uptime percentage.
Data Accuracy
While we strive for accuracy, data displayed in Wattly (including battery-health estimates, energy calculations and location data) is provided for informational purposes only. You should not rely solely on this data for critical decisions.
Subscription Terms
Wattly Access Individual covers one vehicle; Duo covers up to two. Subscriptions are monthly or annual, as selected at checkout. The available plans, price and currency are shown in the app and in Apple’s purchase confirmation.
10.1 Payment and renewal
- Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase, except where the confirmed offer begins with a free trial.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the selected interval unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple may charge the renewal during those final 24 hours.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Uninstalling Wattly or disconnecting a vehicle does not cancel the subscription.
10.2 Free access and trials
Wattly may offer trial access. The available duration and conditions are shown in the app.
An Apple subscription trial is a separate offer for eligible customers. Its duration and subsequent renewal price are shown before confirmation. It renews into a paid subscription unless cancelled in accordance with Apple’s terms.
10.3 Plan changes and vehicles
Duo replaces Individual within the same Apple subscription group; it is not a second independent subscription. Apple determines the effective date and any billing adjustment. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal.
Both vehicles must be available in the same connected Tesla account. Each keeps its own history; switching the displayed vehicle does not change billing. If coverage falls to one vehicle, the selected primary vehicle stays covered and the second is paused. Its stored history remains available under our data-retention policy.
10.4 Lifetime
Lifetime, when offered in the app, is a one-time purchase. It covers up to two vehicles when multivehicle access is available for your account. Buying Lifetime does not automatically cancel an existing subscription.
Product name: Wattly Access (Lifetime) · Type: one-time, non-consumable purchase · Price: displayed in the app based on your region · No auto-renewal, no recurring charges.
If you buy Wattly Access (Lifetime):
- "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the Wattly app and service, not the lifetime of the purchaser.
- It grants access to the same features as the Wattly Access subscription, with a single payment and no recurring billing.
- Minimum service commitment: we commit to keep Wattly Access available to Lifetime purchasers for at least four (4) years from the date of purchase, and we intend to continue providing it indefinitely thereafter. Because Wattly depends on external third-party infrastructure outside our control — in particular the Tesla Fleet API — availability beyond the four-year minimum cannot be guaranteed.
- Wattly's features rely on third-party services, in particular the Tesla Fleet API, which are outside our control. Specific features or live vehicle data may change, be limited or become unavailable if a third party modifies, restricts, prices or withdraws access to its API or data.
- Early discontinuation refund: if we permanently discontinue the Wattly service before the end of the four-year minimum commitment, we will refund the unused, proportional part of your Lifetime purchase price, calculated pro rata over those four years from the date of purchase.
- If we permanently discontinue the Wattly service in its entirety after the minimum commitment period, Lifetime Access will end at that point.
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Aside from the early-discontinuation refund described above, refunds are handled by Apple (see section 12).
- Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have as a consumer under applicable EU/EEA and Spanish consumer-protection law.
Referral Program
Wattly may offer a referral program that allows you to invite others to use the app. The following terms apply:
- Referred users: anyone may sign up with a referral code and receive an extended free trial (currently 14 days, or 30 days when referred by a lifetime license holder).
- Earning rewards: sharing a referral code and earning rewards is available to users with an active paid subscription.
- Reward: when a referred user takes out a paid subscription (first successful payment; free-trial periods do not count), the referrer receives 30 additional days of subscription, applied automatically by extending the current billing period. No codes or coupons are involved.
- Reward limit: a maximum of 2 free months per user within any rolling 12-month period, in line with Apple platform limits. Conversions beyond the limit do not accrue or carry over.
- Lifetime licenses: lifetime license holders may share their code — their invitees receive the extended welcome trial — but do not receive subscription extensions, as lifetime access has no renewal to extend.
- Prohibited conduct: self-referral, creating fake accounts, using automated systems, or any form of abuse is strictly prohibited and may result in forfeiture of rewards and account suspension or termination.
- Modifications: Wattly may modify, suspend or terminate the program at any time. Rewards already applied to a subscription will be honored.
- No cash value: rewards cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred or sold.
Refunds
Refunds are handled according to Apple App Store policies. To request a refund, please contact Apple directly through your purchase history or visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
When you request a refund, Apple may ask us for information about your purchase and your use of the subscription — for example, how much of the subscription period you have already used. By accepting these terms, you consent to Wattly sharing this consumption information with Apple to help assess and process your refund request. The final refund decision is made solely by Apple.
This general Apple refund process does not replace Wattly’s early-discontinuation refund commitment in section 10.4.
Warranty
The Developer is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of the Licensed Application to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the Licensed Application to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Licensed Application, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be the Developer's sole responsibility.
Product Claims
You acknowledge that the Developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims you or any third party may have relating to the Licensed Application or your possession and/or use of the Licensed Application, including, but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the Licensed Application fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
Limitation of Liability
Wattly’s liability is determined by applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections. You are responsible for using the service lawfully and for checking the safety of the instructions you authorize; this does not remove Wattly’s responsibility for its own acts or omissions. We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so is prohibited by law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence or personal injury where applicable. Service limitations, estimates and third-party dependencies described in these terms do not waive your statutory rights.
Intellectual Property
Wattly and all its content, features and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the app.
- Use the Wattly name or logo without permission.
- Reverse engineer or decompile the app.
You acknowledge that, in the event of any third-party claim that the Licensed Application or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, the Developer, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of any such claim.
Termination
You can stop using Wattly at any time by:
- Deleting the app from your device.
- Revoking Tesla account access through your Tesla account settings.
- Removing the virtual key from the Tesla app.
- Requesting account deletion at privacy@wattly.tech.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Wattly for violations of these terms.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of Wattly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and Spain. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Barcelona, Spain.
Third-Party Beneficiary
You acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA, and that, upon your acceptance of the terms and conditions of this EULA, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this EULA against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
